Rashid Abdulrahman AlGaoud has become the first Bahraini elected to the Board of Airline Representatives in the UK (BAR UK). AlGaoud, who is UK country manager for Gulf Air, has joined the board for a year and will be involved in discussions around regulation, capacity, policy, taxation and charges.
Iain Richards has been named sales and marketing director at Park Resorts. Richards joins the company from glh Hotel where he was marketing and communications director for eight years. At Park Resorts he will be responsible for sales and marketing for its holiday, touring and holiday home products.
David Chappell has joined Gray Dawes as head of technology. Chappell will be based at the firm’s Colchester office and joins from The Lotus Group where he was business development manager responsible for sales. He will lead technology implementation at Gray Dawes.
Bernard Bot has been named chief financial officer at Aer Lingus, while Federico Balzola is now chief people and change officer. Bot was previously group CFO at TNT Express and will join the airline on 1 September when he will also be nominated to the board. Current CFO Andrew Macfarlane will step down when Bot joins. Balzola joins Aer Lingus also on 1 September from Reckitt Benckiser where he was southern Europe regional HR director.
David St Clair has been announced as head of operations at Capita Global Assistance. St Clair joins the company having worked in claims, sales and services in the financial, healthcare and assistance industries.
