JOHN BENDTSEN has been appointed general manager of the Centara Ceysands Resort & Spa in Sri Lanka. An Australian national, Bendtsen has 21 years of hospitality experience, including a spell with Oakwood. Most recently he was GM of the Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives.
SHARMINI MOGANASUNDRAM has been named as the new general manager of the Parkroyal on Kitchener Road in Singapore. Ms Moganasundram moves to the hotel from another Pan Pacific property, the Parkroyal Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur, where she also served as general manager.
SPIRO J. DELIGIANNIS has been appointed director of the Eurasia Travel Network, a global marine travel services company. An airline industry veteran, Deligiannis brings more than 15 years of experience to the role, including handling the Asia Pacific sales for United Airlines.
MARC GUSSING has become the new general manager of Per Aquum’s Huaven Fushi resort in the Maldives. Gussing is no stranger to the resort, having previously served as director of operations at Huvafen Fushi in 2005. He has also worked at hotels in Europe, the US and Asia Pacific.
DIETMAR KOEGERL has been announced as the new general manager of Niyama, the luxury Maldivian resort operated by Per Aquum. A German national, Koegerl has spent more than 30 years in the Asia Pacific region, and recently served as GM of the Anantara Kihavah Villas, Maldives.
JOHN ALLANSON has become the new general manager of Six Senses Con Dao, the luxury island resort in Vietnam. He moves to the resort from Six Senses Laamu in the Maldives, where he spent the last two years as resident manager. His 20-year career also included a spell with Rocco Forte.
GOH TEE KAY has taken over as acting general manager of the Parkroyal Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur. The move marks a promotion for Goh, who previously served as the hotel’s resident manager. He has previously worked for Hilton and Berjaya Hotels & Resorts in Malaysia.
STEPHAN VAN TILBURG has been appointed director of food & beverage at the new Sheraton Zhuhai Hotel in southern China, which is due to open in November. A Dutch national, van Tilburg brings 12 years of experience to the role including spells with Starwood and Waldorf Astoria.
LILY CHEN has joined the Sheraton Zhuhai Hotel’s pre-opening team as director of sales & marketing. Over the past 14 years, Ms Chen has risen from sales executive to become director of sales & marketing for The Hongta Hotel, Starwood’s Luxury Collection hotel in Shanghai.
