ABHISHEK SAHAI has been named as the new general manager of The Leela Palace Udaipur. An hotelier with more than 14 years’ experience, Sahai joins the hotel from The Leela Mumbai where he served as rooms division manager. He has previously worked for companies including Oberoi.
JOHN BENDTSEN has been appointed general manager of the Centara Ceysands Resort & Spa in Sri Lanka. An Australian national, Bendtsen has 21 years of hospitality experience, including a spell with Oakwood. Most recently he was GM of the Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives.
DR SHINE BABU has been appointed by the Hilton Shillim Estate Retreat & Spa as its resident naturopathy specialist and nutritionist. A graduate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science in Bengaluru, Dr Babu is an expert in acupuncture, naturopathy, yoga and nutritional medicine.
MARC GUSSING has become the new general manager of Per Aquum’s Huaven Fushi resort in the Maldives. Gussing is no stranger to the resort, having previously served as director of operations at Huvafen Fushi in 2005. He has also worked at hotels in Europe, the US and Asia Pacific.
DIETMAR KOEGERL has been announced as the new general manager of Niyama, the luxury Maldivian resort operated by Per Aquum. A German national, Koegerl has spent more than 30 years in the Asia Pacific region, and recently served as GM of the Anantara Kihavah Villas, Maldives.
DASHA KUKSENKO has been appointed as Sabre’s new vice president of airline solutions for Asia Pacific. Ms Kuksenko has extensive experience in the airline and technology sectors. She previously served as Sabre’s head of sales for airline solutions in Asia, and has also worked with Oracle and Emirates.
