ERIC WONG has become the new vice president of Infor Hospitality, Asia Pacific. He will now be responsible for driving the IT company’s growth in the hospitality sector. Wong has almost 20 years of experience in the business consulting, hospitality and business software industries.
CARLOS MONTERDE has been announced as the general manager of the new Fairmont Jakarta, which is due to open in the first quarter of 2015. A Spanish national, Monterde joined FRHI Hotels in 2005 as executive assistant manager at Fairmont Singapore. He then rose to the position of hotel manager.
HELENA EGAN has been appointed as TripAdvisor’s new director of industry relations. In this newly-created role, Ms Egan will drive TripAdvisor for Business, the division focusing on serving the hospitality sector. She joined TripAdvisor in 2008 as a destination marketing specialist in Europe.
WEERAWAT KAKPETCH has been named as the new vice president of yield & revenue management for Thailand’s MBK Hotel and Tourism, which operates the Layana Resort and Spa, Tinidee Golf Resort Phuket and Tinidee Hotel Ranong. He has 12 years’ experience in Thailand and Australia.
KEVIN THOMSON has become the new executive chef at the Ritz-Carlton Beijing and JW Marriott Hotel Beijing. A British national, Chef Kevin brings more than 25 years of culinary experience to the two luxury hotels, including spells in the UK, Australia, the Caribbean, Singapore and China.
PAOLO RANDONE has become the new executive assistant manager of food & beverage at the Raffles Singapore. An Italian national, Randone joins the hotel from Singapore-based restaurant group, Deliciae Hospitality Management. He has also worked with Mandarin Oriental, Dusit and IHG.
