SANDY OLSEN has returned to Carnival Australia as vice president of corporate affairs. Ms Olsen previously served as Carnival’s director of corporate affairs from 2007 to 2011, but left the company to take up a role with Infrastructure NSW. She will officially start her new role on 1 June 2015.
NICK BOSWORTH has become Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts‘ new vice president of brand & marketing. A UK national, Bosworth has 25 years of experience in both the hotel and airline industries. Prior to joining Mövenpick he spent 10 years working with IHG.
CARLA PETZOLD-BECK has been appointed general manager of the Nihiwatu, the luxury resort on Indonesia’s Sumba Island. A Swiss national, Ms Petzold-Beck has more than 15 years of experience, and joins Nihiwatu from Belmond La Residence in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
CARSTEN SCHIECK has been appointed general manager of the Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa in the Maldives. He joins the newly-renovated resort with more than 35 years’ experience, the majority of which was spent with Hilton, including roles in Germany, Turkey, China and Sri Lanka.
BRETT MODEL has been named as the resort manager of the Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain in China. Model has 13 years of experience in Asia, including 10 years in China. Prior to joining Six Senses he led the rooms division at the MGM Grand Ho Tram Beach Resort in Vietnam.
