The latest industry appointments

PETER FERAN has been announced as the new general manager of the Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok. An Australian national, Feran has had an 18-year hotel career and first joined Carlson Rezidor as rooms division manager at Radisson Playford Adelaide. He then became GM of the Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam.

JEAN-LUC NARET has been appointed by Kerzner International as the new general manager of the One&Only Reethi Rah, Maldives. Naret has 35 years’ experience and returns to One&Only having previous worked at One&Only Le Saint G?ran and One&Only Ocean Club in the 1990s. He has also worked with Serena Hotels & Resorts.

ADRIAN STOPPE has become the new general manager at the Four Points by Sheraton Penang. A German national, Stoppe joins the hotel following a 15-year hospitality career that has taken him to Europe, Asia and the US. Most recently he worked at The Andaman, Starwood’s Luxury Collection Resort in Langkawi.

GREGORY GUBIANI has been named as the general manger of the Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral – the world’s largest Aloft hotel. A French national, Gubiani worked at hotels and resorts across the world, including the Maldives, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

MICHAEL LEE has been appointed general manager of the Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur. Lee brings 20 years of experience to the role, including management positions with Hotel Equatorial in Vietnam, Radisson in Indonesia, Sunway in China and Pan Pacific in Malaysia. Most recently he was GM of the Asta Hotel in Shenzhen.

ROHAN FARRANCE has been promoted to the role of manager of Western Australia for Etihad Airways, based in Perth. Farrance has spent the last two years in Sydney as Etihad’s national account manager. He has more than 10 years of experience in travel industry sales and management roles.

SANDRINE KAISER has been appointed general manager at the Coco Palm Dhuni Kohlu resort in the Maldives. Ms Kaiser joins the Coco Collection from the Trezzini Palace Hotel in St Petersburg, which she opened as general manager. She was also previously involved in the launch of Zitahli Resort & Spa, Maldives.

MUHAMMAD YUSLAN has been announced as the new hotel manager at Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran. An Indonesian national, Yuslan is no stranger to the Starwood resort; he previously served as executive assistance manager at the property from 2012 to 2014, but left to join the Inaya Putri Bali in Nusa Dua.

YIP LAI PHENG has become the new group director of sales & marketing for the Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur and Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur. Ms Yip has 30 years of hospitality industry experience, including spells with Accor, Hotel Istana, Marriott and Mandarin Oriental in Malaysia and Indonesia.

KHAJOHNSAK NGIEMPAISAL has been named as the new director of sales & marketing at the Dusit Thani Pattaya. Khajohnsak began his career with Marriott Hua Hin in 1996, and has since worked for numerous major hotel groups in Thailand, including Starwood, Accor and Amari.
