QIAN JIN has become the new president of Wanda Hotels & Resorts. He moves to head up the fast-expanding Chinese hotel group having spent nearly 30 years with Starwood Hotels & Resorts. For the past three years, Qian has served as Starwood’s president of Greater China.
ROSHAN MENDIS has been appointed as Sabre Travel Network’s senior vice president for Asia Pacific. Mendis joins the team following 12 years with Travelocity.com, where he was most recently president of the Americas, until its 2015 sale to Expedia. He was also formally president of Zuji.
WISWIN PITIKULSATHIT has been appointed vice president of Thailand’s Kata Group Resorts. A Thai national, Wiswin initially joined Kata Group as assistant vice president for asset management. He previously worked at Bangkok-based Asset Pro Management Company.
ALISON TAYLOR has assumed the role of senior vice president of Starwood’s Sales Organization. A 25-year Starwood veteran, Ms Taylor most recently developed the Starwood Sales Organization in Asia Pacific. She has now relocated from Singapore to Starwood’s global HQ in Connecticut.
ANDREW HARRISON has become the new general manager of Four Seasons Resort Langkawi. Harrison moves to Malaysia from India, where he managed the Four Seasons Mumbai. He has also worked for the company in Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Florida, California, Mauritius and northern Thailand.
EDWARD SNOEKS has been appointed general manager of the Okura Prestige Bangkok, and Okura’s regional general manager for Thailand. A Dutch national, Snoeks moves to Bangkok from Hong Kong, where he was general manager of the Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causeway Bay hotel.
LINA ABDULLAH has been appointed general manager of Oakwood Residence Garden Towers Bangna, Bangkok. She joins the serviced apartment company from Onyx Hospitality Group where she was general manager at the Amari Dhaka in Bangladesh. She also spent 10 years with Marriott.
YOUNG-CHUL SHIM has been named as the new general manager of the Oakwood Premier Coex Centre in Seoul. YC, as he is better known, has a career spanning 27 years, including many years with the Hotel Shilla. He speaks four languages: Korean, Japanese, English and German.
LEAH MATTERS has been announced as the new resort manager at the Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort. An Australian national, Ms Matters has worked with Outrigger for seven years, the last three as general manager of the Outrigger Twin Towns Resort in Queensland.
HAYDEE CRUZ has also joined the Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort, as director of sales & marketing. With more than 20 years of experience, Ms Cruz, who is from the Dominican Republic, has worked with major hotel companies including Starwood, Marriott and Accor.
CRISPIAN LYE has become FCm Travel Solutions’ new director Sales for Southeast Asia. Lye arrives at FCm from the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), where he was heading up the Sustainable Development Business Group and its Commercial Unit.
HENGKY TAMBAYONG has been announced as the new general manager of the Harris Hotel Seminyak Bali. He first joined Tauzia in 2005 as executive assistant manager for sales at the Harris Hotel Tebet in Jakarta and has since worked at hotels in Solo and Bali.
CATHERINE LIM has been named as Outrigger Resorts’ new marketing & e-commerce manager for Asia Pacific. A Singaporean national, Ms Lim has experience across Asia, and most recently spent three years in Cambodia as a web and marketing communications manager.
BERTRAND SAILLET has been appointed as FCm Travel Solutions’ new general manager for Singapore. He joins the company from Amadeus IT Group, where his previous role was Head of TMC, Specialty & Networks for Asia Pacific. He has also worked in the aeronautical and telecom industries.
