LIM BOOM KWEE has been named chief operating officer of Dusit International. He joined the Thai hotel group in March 2013 as president of its Chinese subsidiary, Dusit Fudu. His 30-year career has also included spells with Millennium & Copthorne, Starwood, IHG, Sedona, Shangri-La and New World Hotels.

EDDY LEONG has been appointed chief executive officer of Think Big Digital, the company that manages AirAsia’s loyalty programme, BIG. Leong has previously worked with the Berjaya Group and Malaysia Airlines, and helped set up Firefly in 2007. He has also been an advisor to Philippines AirAsia.

ALEXANDRE DE JUNIAC will become the new director-general & CEO of IATA. Currently the chairman & CEO of Air France-KLM, de Juniac will succeed Tony Tyler at IATA, and is expected to take up his new duties in June. A French national, de Juniac has previously worked in the French government.

DAVID LIM has been named as Singapore Airlines’ new general manager for India. A Singaporean national, Lim has worked for the national carrier since 1988, including spells in Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Hong Kong and the UK. He moves to India from Japan where he also served as country manager.

SAMMY CAROLUS has been announced as the new general manager of the Grand Hyatt Taipei. He moves to Taiwan with more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having first joined the Hyatt Bali in 1992. Most recently he was GM of the Hyatt Regency Hua Hin in Thailand.

JORDAN ANDREW has been appointed chief technology officer at Carlson Wagonlit Travel. Based in London, Andrew will be tasked with developing CWT’s IT infrastructure, including mobile products. He previously worked for Citigroup, Thomson Reuters and, most recently, NBC Universal International.

RUDY ORETTI has been appointed general manager of the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund. Oretti joins Hilton from Louis XIII Management in Macau, where he held the position of senior vice president of operations. He has also worked with Banyan Tree and The Leela Hotels.

DANIEL MOYLAN has become the new general manager for SpiceRoads, the Asian bicycle tour operator. He has held two prior positions at SpiceRoads since joining the company in 2012, including chief adventure manager. Previously he worked as operations manager for UK-based marketing firm RPM London.
