DEVDUTTA BANERJEE has become Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts’ new area director of revenue management for Asia, based in Bangkok. Banerjee has 18 years’ experience with Taj, Starwood and, most recently, Banyan Tree, where he was corporate director of revenue management & distribution.
DR SAROTE PHORNPRAPHA has been appointed as the new president of the Dusit Thani College, effective 1 July. Dr Sarote joins the Thai hospitality and catering school from Bangkok’s Chulalongkorn University where he held several roles, including head of the executive MBA program.
GREGORY LORDING has been announced as Helloworld’s new group general manager of wholesale. Lording joins the company having spent the last 15 years with Flight Centre, during which time he served as global leader of the corporate TMC division, FCM Travel Solutions.
PAUL RAMIREZ has been named as FCM Travel Solutions’ new global data leader. Based in Brisbane, he will be tasked with delivering business intelligence services to FCM’s clients and travellers. Ramirez has previously held senior consulting roles in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the US.
JOHN SLATTERY has become the new president & CEO of Embraer’s Commercial Aviation unit, effective July. Slattery moves into the role after Paulo Cesar de Souza e Silva was promoted to CEO of Embraer. Slattery has been chief commercial officer of Embraer’s commercial division since 2012.
LIZA INDIRA has been appointed general manager of Harris-Pop Hotels & Conventions in Bali. Ms Indira started her hospitality career as a guest relations officer at the Shangri-La Jakarta in 1994. Two decades later in 2014 she took her first GM role at the Harris Hotel Raya Kuta Bali.
PHILIPPE LE BOURHIS has been appointed general manager of the Pullman Bangkok Hotel G. A French national, Le Bourhis brings 25 years of experience to the hotel, most of which have been with AccorHotels. Most recently he was GM at Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit and Pullman Jakarta.
NISHA CHAND has become group director of human resources for the Anantara Vacation Club. Ms Chand first joined Minor Hotels five years ago as a director of HR at a resort in Abu Dhabi. She later moved to Minor’s corporate office in Bangkok, serving as director and then regional director of HR.
GUY ALLISON has been appointed product & contracting manager at Destination Asia Thailand. A UK national, Allison brings extensive travel industry experience to the role, especially in Asia. Previously he has worked for the Lotus Group UK, EXO Travel in Thailand and Travel Daily Media Group.
GRACE HOANG has become the new director of marketing communications for the JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok and Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa. A Vietnamese national, Ms Hoang has previously worked in marketing communications for Marriott in Bangkok and IHG in Vietnam.
