GREG ALLAN has been named as Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s new vice president of operations for ASEAN. A UK national, Allan has more than 30 years’ experience including spells with Marriott and Resorts World Sentosa. Most recently he was area vice president for UAE-based hotel group Rotana.
BASTIEN BREUER has been appointed as Marco Polo Hotels’ new group director of restaurants, bars & events. With experience across Asia, including spells with Mandarin Oriental, Fairmont and Ritz-Carlton, Breuer will now be responsible for the F&B concepts at Marco Polo’s collection of 14 hotels.
MICHELLE FU has been appointed as Destination NSW’s new business development manager for western China. Ms Fu, who will be based in Chengdu, will now be tasked with driving more visitors from western China to New South Wales. She was previously marketing manager for AirAsia X.
NICHOLAS SMITH has been named general manager of the new Kerry Hotel Hong Kong, which opens later this year. Smith has worked across the world, including spells in the US, UK, Middle East and Southeast Asia. Most recently he was GM of Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa in Cebu.
THOMAS SCHWALL has been appointed general manager of the St Regis Langkawi. A French national, Schwall moves to Malaysia having completed a four-year stint as GM of the Sheraton Deva Golf & Spa Resort in New Caledonia. A Cornell University graduate, he has also worked in New York, Sydney and Rome.
GINO TAN has become Pan Pacific Hotel Group’s area general manager for Singapore. The move marks a promotion for Tan, who currently serves as GM of the Pan Pacific Singapore. He will now oversee the group’s five properties in Singapore. Tan has previously worked in the UK and China.
CASSIE CHEW has become the new director of marketing communications at the St Regis Singapore. She joins the hotel following spells with several other luxury hotels and groups in Singapore, including The Patina, Fairmont-Raffles, Goodwood Park Hotel and Meritus Hotels & Resorts.
SUGANYA WIWITWANIT has been announced as Onyx Hospitality Group’s new senior vice president of human resources, based in Bangkok. A Thai national, Ms Suganya has previously held senior HR positions with multinational companies such as Oracle, L’Oréal, Wyeth/Pfizer and Amcor.
