PHILLIPA HARRISON has been named as Tourism Australia’s executive general manager of international, overseeing offices spanning 12 countries. She has 20 years’ experience and moves to the tourism board from the Rawson Group, where she was general manager of sales & marketing.
JO COPESTAKE has been announced as Air New Zealand’s new general manager for UK & Europe. She joined the airline in 2010 as senior account manager, and has since held positions including leisure channel manager, online channel manager and sales & market development manager.
MATT BRENNAN has become Carlson Wagonlit Travel’s (CWT) new vice president of hotel operations. He joins the company with diverse experience in companies including Oakleaf Waste Management and GE Finance. Most recently he was VP of field partner management of QSI Facilities.
JEAN-YONG PITTION is the new executive assistant manager of food & beverage for the Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel and St Regis Macao Cotai Central. Born in South Korea and raised in France, Pittion has worked at luxury hotels in London, Paris and, most recently, Hong Kong.
SANTOSH IYER has been appointed as Absolute Hotel Services’ new regional director of sales for India & Middle East. Iyer brings 16 years of hospitality experience to the role, the last three of which were spent at The Orchid Mumbai, one of India’s busiest airport hotels.
ANTON KILAYKO has been appointed director of communications for The Murray, a Niccolo Hotel in Hong Kong. An experienced PR executive, Kilayko brings more than 15 years of hospitality industry experience to his new role, including spells with Dusit, Orient-Express and Ritz-Carlton.
PATCHAREE MEETHONG has become director of sales & marketing at the Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon. A Thai national, Ms Patcharee has worked for several international brands including Shangri-La, Sheraton and Anantara. She was previously Chatrium’s corporate director of sales.
WAHYU TININGSIH has become the new director of spa & wellness at the Nanuku Auberge Resort Fiji. Ms Tiningsih will now head up the luxury resort’s Lomana Spa and Wellness Centre. She has previously worked at the prestigious Chiva Som International Academy in Thailand.
