STEPHEN ENGLAND-HALL has been named as the new chief executive of Tourism New Zealand, effective April 2017. He will take up the role having previously spent three years a chief executive at Loyalty New Zealand,  and held the same role at Razorfish, Tourism New Zealand’s global media agency.

SEAN MENKE has become the new president & CEO of Sabre, following the resignation of Tom Klein. Menke joined Sabre in October 2015 and currently serves as executive vice president of Sabre and president of Sabre Travel Network. He will officially take up the new role on 31 December.

LUCIE GUILLEMETTE has been named as Air Canada’s new executive vice president and chief commercial officer. The move marks a promotion for Ms Guillemette, who was previously the airline’s senior vice president of revenue optimisation. She first joined Air Canada in 1987.

PETER WU has been appointed as Sabre Airline Solutions’ new senior director & general manager for mainland China. An experienced aviation professional, Wu has 22 years’ experience. He re-joins Sabre after a spell with Boeing, having previously spent 14 years with the travel technology company.

DAVID MARTENS has become the new general manager of the Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin. He joins the LHW member hotel from the Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi, where he was also GM. An Australian national, Martens has more than 25 years of experience.

ROBERT MENZIES has been appointed general manager of the Sunway Hotel Phnom Penh. A Malaysian national, Menzies has 25 years of hospitality experience, including spells in Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia. Most recently he was GM of a Swiss-Belhotel property in Dalat.

PRAKASH KUMARAN has been named as the new general manager of two Sunway hotels in Penang, Malaysia. He takes on the dual role at Sunway Hotel Georgetown and Sunway Hotel Seberang Jaya, following his most recent position as the cluster pre-opening GM for two NH hotels in China.

PUTRI ISTIARINI has become the new group director of sales & marketing for Thailand’s Akaryn Hotel Group. A 23-year industry veteran, Ms Istiarini has worked for a series of high-end hotel brands including Mandarin Oriental, Banyan Tree, Shangri-La, Westin and InterContinental.
