Charlie Cooper has been named UK sales manager at China Links Travel. Cooper has joined the company to develop relationships with the UK travel trade and boost its profile. He joins the company from Wendy Wu where he was UK sales manager and has also held positions at Hoseasons, All Canada and Argo Holidays.
Raymond Goertz has been named director of rooms at the ME London. Goertz has previously opened three hotels and is an ex-revenue manager at The Ritz. Jesus Sauri has also joined the hotel, as associate director of sales. Sauri joins the ME from Blakes in South Kensington and has also held roles at The Cadogan and InterContinental Hotels Group.
John Slosar has been named as the new Chairman of Cathay Pacific Airways, John Swire & Sons, Swire Pacific, Swire Properties and Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering. Currently the Chief Executive of Cathay Pacific, US national Slosar will now replace Christopher Pratt, who is retiring.
Ivan Chu has been selected to replace John Slosar as Chief Executive of Cathay Pacific Airways. Chu has worked with the Hong Kong-based airline since 1984, including spells in mainland China, Taiwan, Thailand and Australia. He currently serves as the airline’s Chief Operating Officer.
Tom Klein has been announced as the new Chief Executive Officer of Sabre Holdings, succeeding Sam Gilliland. Klein is currently the company’s President, and will now continue in this role as well as serving as CEO. He has been with Sabre for more than two decades, becoming President in 2010.
