ALAN CLARK has been named as the new executive director and chief financial officer for the Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, which operates the Peninsula hotel brand. A British national, Clark has worked for several international hotel groups, including Malmaison, Le Meridien and Rocco Forte.
SAMANTHA CAMERON has been appointed as Destination NSW’s new country manager for New Zealand. She joins the New South Wales tourism board having held roles across several sectors of the travel industry, including retail, wholesale and national and state tourism offices.
HARUHIKO NIIHORI has been announced as Destination NSW’s new country manager for Japan. Niihori has worked for Australian tourism organisations in Japan for the past 22 years and will now be responsible for promoting travel to New South Wales and developing partnerships within the country.
MAE CHEAH has become the Trafalgar’s new director of sales for Asia. She will now be responsible for increasing the guided holiday company’s sales within the Southeast Asian market, focusing on the key markets of Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines, as well as managing key accounts.
STEPHEN BURKE has been appointed vice president of connectivity & enterprise integration for channel management specialist, eRevMax. He brings more than 15 years of experience to the role across several sectors, most recently as chief technology offer for TAXEO SAS, a France-based VAT recovery specialist.
VIRGINIE BUADES has been named as the new marketing & communications manager for Hotel Reservation Service (HRS). Ms Buades has four years of experience in the business travel sector, and has formerly the marcomms manager of a global travel management company based in Europe.
