Ben Bouldin has been named director of sales for the UK and Ireland at Royal Caribbean International. Bouldin will lead an 18-strong sales team dedicated to the brand, following the split of the RCL Cruises brand at the start of this year. He joins from PepsiCo International where he held several senior roles.
Carly James has joined Holiday Extras as partnerships development manager. James has been tasked with managing the company’s new relationship with Thomas Cook as well as those with Travelsupermarket and the AA. She has worked in travel for more than 11 years at Going Places, Thomas Cook, Thomson, First Choice and BP Travel Marketing.
Matthew Rowlette has been named director of sales and marketing at St Pancras Renaissance Hotel. Rowlette joins the London hotel from The Merrion Hotel in Dublin where he was director of sales for the past four years. His experience also includes four years of leadership roles in hotels in Canada.
Aiden McAuley has been appointed senior vice president operations, Europe at FRHI Hotels & Resorts. McAuley has relocated from Singapore to Zurich for the newly-created role where he will be responsible for overseeing all existing hotel operations and future developments. McAuley was previously managing director Swissôtel The Stamford & Fairmont Singapore and Regional Vice President, Asia-Pacific for Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts.
Jane Mackie has been named as vice president for the Fairmont brand. Mackie will lead the strategy and communication for the luxury brand and joins from Club Quarters where she was staff vice president, revenue planning. She has also held roles at Starwood, Sheraton, Loews, Viceroy and Cape Resorts Group.
Donna McAlpine and Laura Smart have joined Travel 2 as marketing assistants. Along with new designer Victoria Haining, the team will work on brochure production, point-of-sale and marketing material including those for trade campaigns. McAlphine and Smart join from the University of Strathclyde Business School, while Haining has four years of graphic design experience.
Linda Griffin has been named general manager of Hilton London Kensington. Griffin joins the London hotel after being general manager at Athenée Palace Hilton Bucharest. She has worked at Hilton since 1989 as assistant front office manager, and at various hotels under the brand.
Kate Round has joined the corporate sales team at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. Round has more than four years’ experience in events industry sales. She will report to EICC’s head of sales and marketing Louise Andrews.
Leanne Coddington has been named as the new CEO at Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ). Coddington has already been an executive and acting CEO at the tourism board helping the government to reach its 2020 targets. She will implement the DestinationQ strategy and aim to grow tourism and events.
Tatjana Lulevic-Heyny has been appointed vice president sales at Austrian Airlines. Lulevic-Heyny will join the airline on 10 February from Kraft Foods where most recently she has been responsible for innovation management for the Milka chocolate brand.
