OLE REHLAENDER will manage The Unique Collection’s first two hotels in Myanmar. A German national, Rehlaender will take the reigns as GM of the Emerald Palace Hotel in Naypyidaw and the Residence@26 in Yangon. He was previously GM at the Amara Ocean Resort on Ngapali Beach, Myanmar.
NADDA BURANASIRI has been announced as the new chief executive officer of Thai AirAsia X, which is expected to start operating from Bangkok in the near future. A Thai national, Nadda has more than 20 years of international management experience with multinational organisations.
JASMINE TSO has been appointed as Outrigger’s new vice president of global brand services. A brand and marketing professional with more than 15 years of experience, Ms Tso joins the Outrigger team from Hawaiian Airlines, where she served as director of marketing.
HANIF ZAKARIA has become Etihad Airways’ new general manager for Bangladesh. He joins the Abu Dhabi-based airline from Afghanistan’s Safi Airways, where he held a number of senior sales positions in the Gulf region. He has also worked for BA and Emirates.
ULF BREMER has become the new general manager of the Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong. A German national with more than 20 years of hotel experience, Bremer moves to Hong Kong from Shanghai, where he served as GM of the Pudong Shangri-La, East Shanghai.
DEAN HUNTSMAN has been named general manager of the Dusit Thani Guam Resort, which is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2014. An experienced hotelier, Huntsman joins Dusit International from Dubai’s Jumeirah Group, where he served as director of operations.
VINCENT FRASCOGNA has been named as Etihad Airways’ new manager for Western Australia. Frascogna moves to the Perth-based role following five years in Etihad’s Abu Dhabi headquarters, four of which he spent as the airline’s head of commercial development.
SUN WONG has been announced as Outrigger’s new corporate director for global marketing. The move marks a promotion for Ms Wong, who joined Outrigger’s corporate offices in 2009, following a spell at property level in Hawaii. She has also worked for Orbitz and the Oahu Visitors Bureau.
