AUSTIN ROBINSON has been appointed general manager of the Centara Karon Resort Phuket and Waterfront Suites Phuket by Centara. An Australian national, Robinson has plenty of experience in his home country, having been area GM for 10 hotels in Port Douglas and Magnetic Island.
TIMOTHY RAWLINSON has become the new general manager of the Centara Villas Samui. Rawlinson joins the Thai hotel company from the Maafushivaru Resort Maldives, where he served as operations manager. He has 20 years’ experience, including spells in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket.
TONI ROBERTSON has become the new executive chef at the Mandarin Oriental Singapore. Born in Myanmar, Chef Toni has worked across the US, including spells with Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons in Chicago and Beverly Hills. Most recently she was executive chef at the Mandarin Oriental New York.
CAITLIN CRAIG has been named as the new director of community relations at the Perth Convention Bureau (PCB). Ms Craig has spent more than six years with the PCB, most recently as senior business development manager. The bureau’s new community relations division will be launched in July.
BANDISA SASTIKA has been announced as the new director of e-commerce sales at the Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel in Bali. Bandisa joined the upscale hotel as sales manager in 2005, and he will oversee the Discovery Kartika’s reservations, revenue management and e-commerce teams.
