JEREMY VAN DE KLUNDERT has been named as the new managing director of Sabre Pacific. He joins the company, which is a subsidiary of Abacus International, having spent five years with global assistance company, International SOS, in North Asia. He also has five years’ experience with a GDS company in Europe.

ANDREW BUNN has been announced as Emirates’ new country manager for Singapore and Brunei. Joining on 21 April 2014, Bunn arrives at Emirates from Lufthansa, where he worked for 17 years and held the role of general manager for Hong Kong, South China, Taiwan and Macau since 2011.

JAN-HENDRIK MEIDINGER has become the new general manager of the Park Hyatt Saigon. A German national, Meidinger joined Hyatt in 1999 as assistant front office manager at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, before moving through the ranks. He became GM of Hyatt Regency Guam in 2010.

PATRICK MURRAY has been named as the new general manager at Alila Jakarta. Murray has 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, having worked with luxury hotels in at least 10 countries. He was also part of the opening team for the Palazzo Versace hotel in Australia.

KAREN CHANG has been appointed as Accor’s new communications manager for Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. A Malaysian national raised in Australia, Ms Chang arrives at Accor from the Parkroyal on Beach Road hotel in Singapore, where she was marketing communications manager.

SIDDHARTH BISWAS has been appointed resident manager of the Alila Villas Uluwatu in Bali. A graduate of the Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne in Switzerland, Biswas worked in Kempinski’s head office before moving to property level at hotels in Europe, Asia and Africa.

KATHY HANSBERRY has been promoted to the role of promotion & public relations manager for Outrigger. In her expanded role, Ms Hansberry will manage the company’s corporate sponsorships and other event marketing promotions. She joined Outrigger in 2005 as public relations coordinator.

AMPORN CHOENG-NGAM has become the new executive chef at 137 Pillars House, the luxury boutique hotel in Chiang Mai. A Thai national, Chef Amporn will now oversee all culinary operations at the hotel, including at the Palette Restaurant. He has previously worked as a private chef for a Saudi princess.
