AKIRA MORENA has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of GHM’s Chinese hotel management company, Ahn Luh. Moreno is currently the Vice President of Development & Pre-Opening Services for GHM, and will assume the new role while maintaining his duties at the parent company.
RAJ RANA has been named as the new Chief Executive Officer of Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group in South Asia. A 22-year veteran of Carlson Rezidor, Rana arrives from the US where he most recently served as Vice President for Radisson Franchise Operations in the Americas, based in Minneapolis.
CHRISTOPHER LYNCH has been appointed to the newly-created role of Associate Director, Distribution & Revenue Management, for the Rendezvous Hospitality Group (RHG). Lynch arrives from Mirvac, where we was Regional Revenue & Yield Manager for New South Wales.
CHRIS EHMANN has become the first General Manager of the Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok and DoubleTree by Hilton Sukhumvit, both of which are due to open this year. He first joined Hilton in 1999 as a Director of Operations in Bucharest, and has been a GM in Malaysia and Australia.
ANDY KUNZ has been named as the new General Manager of The Chedi Chiang Mai, northern Thailand. A Swiss national, Kunz joined GHM three years ago as Executive Assistant Manager at The Chedi Muscat. He has also worked at properties in Jordan, Egypt, Australia and the US.
KYM CARTER has been named as the new General Manager of the Watermark Hotel & Spa, on Australia’s Gold Coast. Carter’s previous experience includes spells with Hilton and Accor, and he moves to the Watermark following a spell as General Manager of the Stamford Plaza Brisbane.
AXEL DE BOYNES has been appointed General Manager of the Apple Tree Group’s properties in Laos. A 16-year hospitality industry veteran, De Boynes will now manage the Villa Maly & Kamu Lodge in Luang Prabang. He has previously worked in France, Mauritius, Qatar and Thailand.
AMANDA ELDER has been appointed as Marriott International’s new Director of Sales & Marketing for Queensland. An Australian national, Ms Elder brings 24 years of experience to the role, most recently as Starwood’s Vice President Sales for Europe, Africa & Middle East, based in Brussels.
ANDRIAS ANANTA has been appointed as the new Executive Assistant Manager of the Bangkok Convention Centre, which is managed by Centara. An Indonesian national, Ananta has 10 years’ experience in hotels and convention centres, including facilities in China, Singapore and Indonesia.
PATRICK EGER has been announced as eRevMax’s new Sales Manager for Thailand. A former sales manager for Best Western International and Accor’s Sofitel brand, Eger will now be tasked with selling eRevMax’s channel management and rate parity tool, RateTiger, in the Thai market.
