HERVE JOSEPH-ANTOINE has been named as the new Global Managing Director of Pacific World, the TUI’s MICE unit, based in Singapore. With 17 years’ experience, he was previously Vice President of Meetings & Events EMEA for Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
CHOKCHAI PANYAYONG has been appointed Acting President of Thai Airways, following the departure of Piyasvasti Amranand. Chokchai joined the carrier in 1983 and most recently served as Executive Vice President of Strategy & Business Development.
ANDREW LANGSTON has been announced as the new Area General Manager for Banyan Tree Bangkok, Samui, Laos and the Maldives. Langston arrives in Thailand following a two-year stint as Area General Manager of Banyan Tree in the Maldives.
STANLEY HUI HON-CHUNG has extended his tenure as Chief Executive Officer of the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK). Hui, who was appointed in February 2007, will serve another two years from 1 February 2013. He previously worked for Cathay Pacific.
LESLIE PEREIRA has been appointed General Manager of Singapore’s Hotel Fort Canning. A Malaysian national with 20 years’ industry experience, Pereira has worked with Shangri-La, Star Cruises and the Killarney Towers Hotel in Ireland.
JOSEPH NADER has become Worldhotels’ new Director of Hotel Development for Asia Pacific. Nader brings 15 years of international development experience to the role, including spells with Suncorp in Australia, Nakheel in Dubai and Qatari Diar in Doha.
CHRISTOPHE VOEGELI has been announced as the new General Manager of the Royal Cliff Hotel in Pattaya. A German nation, he arrives at the Thai hotel following a spell as General Manager position at the Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa in Malaysia.
RICK ERDOS has been appointed General Manager of the Oakwood Premier Joy-Nostalg Center Manila. An Australian national, Erdos has 20 years’ experience and joins Oakwood from a long spell with Carlson Rezidor, during which time he worked in Australia, China and the Middle East.
JEANNY MAK has been appointed as Worldhotels’ new Director of Sales for Hong Kong and South China. Ms Mak launched her hotel career with JW Marriott, moving on to sales and marketing roles with The Peninsula Group and Marriott International.
BRIDGET GRIFFITHS has been appointed Associate Director of Sales for Hayman, the island destination in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. A UK national, Ms Griffiths most recently worked at the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney as Sales Manager for the UK & Europe.
