Stephanie McNichol has joined GHOTW

Stephanie McNichol has joined Great Hotels of the World as sales director. McNichol will head up GHOTW’s meeting and incentive sales team in London after previously holding a similar role at Orient Express. She has also worked in Fairmont and Le Meridien.

Mike Hopkins has been named director of marketing and tourism at Visit Guernsey. Hopkins has taken up the role immediately and will be introduced to the trade in January. He was previously group marketing director at Vets4Pets and has also held senior roles at Sony, ICI, Yell and BT.

Margaret Rice-Jones has been appointed chairman of Skyscanner. Rice-Jones joined the board in November and will oversee its global expansion, having previously been chairman of NewBay Software and overseeing the sale to BlackBerry. Skyscanner’s chief operating officer Mark Logan has also been appointed to the board as a director.

Gareth Quin has been appointed director of sales at the Hilton London Metropole. Quin joins the hotel from Hilton London Wembley where he held the same role. He has also held the position of acting director of sales at the Park Inn Heathrow and has hospitality experience in South Africa and the US.

Ruan Courtney has been appointed managing director of Air Charter Service. Courtney replaces current MD Tony Bauckhaum who will remain at ACS for one year during the transition. Courtney will implement a strategy outlined by ACS’ chairman and founder as well as oversee ACS’s Executive Jets division.

Mario Hardy has been named chief operations officer at PATA. Hardy has been chairman of the PATA Foundation since June 2012 and has been at the forefront of its relief response to the Philippines. Hardy was previously vice president Asia Pacific of UBM Aviation between 1999 and 2013 with postings in Singapore, Beijing and London.
