This Israel-based startup is tracking process of reopening hotels post the pandemic
As the travel industry gradually recovers from the impact imposed on it by the global COVID-19 pandemic, UpStay, a startup that develops a B2B solution for hotels, has created a tool that can help both hoteliers and travellers to know the reopening date of the hotels where they plan to spend their vacations.
Tzafrir Blonder, CEO of UpStay, found it difficult to find a place that offered a clear view of the state of the hotels reopening after the coronavirus restrictions. So, he thought, why not create a tool that helps to give visibility to the hotel sector so affected by the virus in recent months.
Hotel Reopen Map is a collaborative map that tracks the process of reopening hotels. The application acts as a platform to share updated information, in which hoteliers can easily add their property through a simple form. Users can immediately see which hotels are open in the area they want to visit.
The objective of this tool is to make it easier for hoteliers to return to their work after the Coronavirus. The tool is useful for both service providers in the hotel industry as well as for guests who wish to explore available hotels and on what dates they plan to open in each geographic area.
