Thomas Cook strengthens Kerala presence

With strong growth registered in Kerala, Thomas Cook India has further strengthened its position in the
state.
The tour operator has announced the launch of its branch outlet in Kazhakootam, and the relocation of its flagship retail branch to a prime hub on M G Road. This expansion augments Thomas Cook India’s distribution and reach in the state to 18 consumer access centres: 10 owned branches, three Gold Circle outlets and five airport counters.
The new Thomas Cook shop at Kazhakootam in Thiruvanthapuram is centrally located and will offer a range of foreign exchange and holiday products and services, cruises, visa and insurance.
Commenting on the inauguration, Mohan Krishna H, vice president & head of sales and relationship management foreign exchange at Thomas Cook (India) Ltd said, “Our new Kazhakootam outlet and M G Road relocation is an emphatic delivery of our strategic intent to expand Thomas Cook’s footprint in Kerala. We are already seeing impressive growth of 25% YoY from the state and with the launch of our unique and innovative consumer centric products-services already witnessing strong uptake, we are confident of Kerala powering our growth story for 2014-16.”
