Thomson has announced it will delay its Boeing 787 Dreamliner services following continued battery problems around the aircraft.
The tour operator was due to launch services to Florida and Cancun using the aircraft on 1 May but has now transferred the routes to a B767 throughout May and June.
The GBP10 supplement paid for the flights will be refunded.
“We understand how frustrating and disappointing this news will be for those customers looking forward to flying on the 787 Dreamliner, we are equally as disappointed that Boeing was not able to confirm a delivery date for us but unfortunately these circumstances are out of our control,” the company said in a statement.
Earlier this week Qatar Airways announced it is to postpone the launch of its Chendgu services due to the issues, while ANA has cancelled its Dreamliner services until July at the earliest.
Boeing said last week it had found a solution to the battery problems but a restart date has not yet been announced.
