Thomson and First Choice have announced they will become the first tour operator to operate direct flights to Phuket from the UK next winter.
The travel company will launch flights to the Thailand beach destination from 5 November 2013 using its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. As well as using its SplashWorld and Couples properties in packages, the company will also boost its twin-centre options to nearby resorts Krabi, Khao Lak and Koh Samui.
“Choosing Thailand as a destination was an obvious choice; it is extremely popular with tourists,” said Shona Swain, general manager of long-haul product for Thomson and First Choice on the decision.
