Three new hotel sites have been secured by Travelodge through a partnership with local authorities.
The hotel chain has joined up regeneration schemes with Cherwell District Council, Breckland Council and Reigate & Banstead Borough Council to build new hotels in Bicester, Thetford and Redhill respectively.
The Bicester hotel will have 53 rooms in the Franklin’s Yard area of the town and 62 rooms will be added in the Thetford property. The Redhill hotel is part of the redevelopment of the Warwick Quadrant and will feature 68 rooms.
Around £11.5 million is to be spent on the three new hotels, which will create 50 jobs.
“We are delighted to be working with leading local authorities to help local communities realise the income potential, job creation and other community benefits that a Travelodge-backed development scheme can bring to their area,” said Travelodge chief executive Peter Gowers.
