Tiger, Scoot reveal more joint itineraries
Singapore Airlines’ two low-cost units, Tiger Airways and Scoot, have announced a new range of joint itineraries.
Starting today (31 October 2012), travellers on Scoot’s flights from Sydney, Gold Coast and Tianjin will be able to purchase single tickets to 13 more Tiger destinations across Asia, transferring between the two carriers in Singapore.
The new destinations include the Indian Sub-Continent cities of Bengaluru, Dhaka, Colombo, Kochi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram and Tiruchirapalli, and the Southeast Asian hubs of Phnom Penh, Hanoi, Penang, Kuching and Jakarta. These add to the existing joint services offered to Phuket, Ho Chi Minh City and Kuala Lumpur, taking the total number of destinations offered by the tie-up to 16.
“Scoot and Tiger are natural partners, from operating side-by-side at Changi Airport Terminal 2 to offering highly complementary route networks. Just a few weeks into our strategic partnership, we’re delighted to be offering even more choice and value to our guests via the release of 13 more Tiger destinations and one more Scoot destination to our joint-itinerary catalogue,” said Scoot’s CEO, Campbell Wilson.
The joint itineraries go on sale today (31 October) for travel from 15 November 2012.
