Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) will be increasing weekly number of flights departing from and arriving at Abu Dhabi International Airport during the summer. 

Boost in tourism for Abu Dhabi in summer

During the period, the airport will receive 1,065 flights a week, a 15% increase compared to the 956 weekly flights during the summer months of 2012. The number of weekly seats available will also increase to 32,004, demonstrating an 11% growth compared to the 28,751 seats available each week during summer 2012.

Commenting on the increase, Eng Ahmad Al Haddabi, chief operation officer at Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), said: “An increase of over 10% in aircraft movement so far in 2013 also attests to Abu Dhabi’s growth towards becoming an international aviation hub.”

Etihad Airways have increased weekly flights from 590 to 653; Jet Airways, from 14 to 18; Air Seychelles, from four to 10; Egypt Air, from nine to 11; Qatar Airways, from 35 to 42; Turkish Airlines, from four to six and Airblue from 12 to 13 weekly.
