For the month of July, over 250 visitors visited the Port of Salalah in tours. This included a wide range of community and academic guests, where for many people a new understanding of the port, its safety customs and measures, and its business operations are seen from a tangible perspective.
During the Khareef season of July, the port welcomed over 150 students including a group of talent students participating in the Salalah Tourism Festival Children’s Forum, as well as high-school and college groups of science and English students enrolled in summer programs from neighboring towns including Taqah and Mirbat.
From the Harbour Master’s viewing deck, visitors catch aerial views of the activity at the cargo and container terminals against the backdrop of Salalah’s growing township, as well as the nearby surrounding industrial plants that draw on the strategic location of Salalah for transporting their goods to markets in Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas.
