Shangri-La has continued the global renaming of its Traders hotels, with the official relaunch of the Hotel Jen Puteri Harbour, Johor.

The Malaysian property, which was previously known as the Traders Hotel Puteri Harbour, becomes the 10th hotel to adopt the new Hotel Jen brand in the last seven months. The new brand is intended to be more modern, attracting the rising pool of younger Asian travellers.

“The opening of Hotel Jen Puteri Harbour… is extremely important for our organisation. We’ve built a strong brand presence in Malaysia and will continue to grow and build solid long-term associations with our business partners and stakeholders,” said Greg Dogan, president & CEO of Shangri-La.

“We recognise the growth of travellers with a ‘millennial’ mindset who seek simple pleasures, easy efficiencies and the opportunity to indulge their sense of adventure when travelling for leisure or business. True to the new brand, the Hotel Jen Puteri Harbour team embraces the changing demands of today’s more independently minded travellers and we are proud to introduce the Hotel Jen brand to meet the needs of our existing and new customers.”

As part of the new branding, the Hotel Jen Puteri Harbour will now offer free Wi-Fi, online newspapers and magazines, unlimited laundry services, complimentary fruit-infused waters and iced teas, and free coffee and snack boxes.

Hotel Jen Puteri Harbour is located in the Iskandar Malaysia area of Johor, close to the border with Singapore.
