Russia’s Transaero Airlines has signed a new deal with Abacus International designed to broaden its distribution in the Asia Pacific region.
The new two-year distribution agreement will provide Abacus-connected travel agents in Asia with access to Transaero’s fares, schedules and seat inventory, across all the airline’s routes.
“Our successful cooperation with Abacus proved that it is a powerful distribution channel reaching 31 markets in the Asia Pacific region. We are delighted to continue our joint work that fully meets the interests of our clients and partners,” said Roman Vdovenko, Transaero’s deputy head of commerce.
Ho Hoong Mau, Abacus’ vice president of airline distribution, added that Transaero’s inventory would be good for the Asian travel trade, as the airline serves “many of the destinations booked in volume by our corporate and leisure travel agents”.
The agreement also includes joint marketing activities, such as Transaero’s participation in future Abacus Corporate Travel Executive Forums in Kazakhstan.
