Travel 2 cruises towards growth

TD Editor

Tour operator Travel 2 has seen an increase of 12% in the number of agents selling cruise year on year. In the last five months alone, there has been in excess of over 100 new agents turning to the brand. This success has led to Travel 2 seeing a 43% increase in revenue from its cruise segment.

Mark Henderson, senior product and commercial manager at Cruise Plus by Travel 2 said: “With our cruise bookings on the rise, we are now working with more agents than ever. Since joining Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) in 2018, we have been able to showcase the Cruise Plus by Travel 2 product. With the addition of three new cruise lines by the end of 2019, we look forward to offering a wider cruise portfolio.”

To help agents sell these products, the company has provided further ongoing training with cruise suppliers, by organising intimate groups of one cruise supplier to four agents. Cruise Plus by Travel 2 has also seen a record number of internal sales consultants on FAM trips, giving agents essential experience of cruise ships and the calibre of features their customers can expect at sea.
