Attraction World adds Greece product
Attraction World has added six Greek islands to its portfolio to capture add-on sales for the summer season. Tours in Halkidiki, Kefalonia, Skiathos, Corfu, Kos and Leftkas have been added including sightseeing trips, cruises and tickets to waterparks. It has also launched new options in Zante, Santorini, Crete, Rhodes and Mykonos. “For some time we’ve been pushing agents to sell add-on tours and attractions in holiday hotspots rather than just thinking about theme park ticket sales in the US. We’ve worked hard to grow our product offering on the key Greek islands in time for the key summer rush,” said Gail Dunwoodie, head of product and marketing at Attraction World.
Discover the World signs two clients
Discover the World Marketing has been named as UK sales representatives for two new clients. The marketing firm will now handle sales in the UK and 16 other countries for Copa Airlines and Copa Airlines Colombia, as well as Alaskan Dream Cruises. The move has been made by Copa as it prepares to enter the Star Alliance. “Discover has produced results for us in other markets around the globe, so it was a natural decision to award them the new representation in Italy and the UK,” said Joseph Mohan, sales vice president of Copa Airlines. “As we move towards integration with the Star Alliance, we will work hand-in-hand with them to generate new awareness for our services in Europe and other parts of the world that have strong Star partners”.
Greatdays plans Disneyland Paris jazz festival
Cheshire-based tour operator Greatdays has teamed up with the organisers of the London Jazz Festival to launch the first European Jazz Festival at Disneyland Paris. Working with ‘Serious’, the first festival will take place on 19 and 20 April at the theme park’s Disney Park and Disney Village, with performances from Natalie Williams; New Orleans trumpeter Abram Wilson; Simply Red band member Kevin Robinson; pianist Tom Cawley and alto saxophonist Nathaniel Facey. Leading musicians will also hold workshops on skills and performance during the festival.
