Travelodge has been rolling out a new room design

Travelodge has announced more rooms in Aberdeen, with plans to add a fifth hotel in the city.

The budget chain will add nine rooms to its Aberdeen Central Justice Mill Lane site bringing the total room count at the hotel to 128, as part of a GBP500,000 revamp plan for the brand’s hotels in the city.

The Central Justice Mill Lane and Aberdeen Airport hotels have already been renovated to include the new room design, with Aberdeen Bucksburn and Aberdeen Central to follow from this March.

Travelodge is also on the search for a site that will eventually hold its fifth hotel in the Scottish city.

Tony O’Brien, UK development director for Travelodge said: “The demand for good quality, low cost accommodation is growing at great pace in Aberdeen and, as a result, the city has become one of the strongest performing hotel markets in the country.”
