Travelodge has teamed up with TripAdvisor to introduce reviews into its customer satisfaction surveys.
The budget hotel chain will use TripAdvisor’s Review Collection Solution to encourage customers to write reviews on the website and hopes to improve its popularity as a result.
The tie-up is part of a GBP223 million investment plan by Travelodge to grow its business, with a new room design rolled out this year and 500 of its hotels going through a refit to offer the same standards.
“We are delighted to be working with TripAdvisor; not only are we gaining further insight from our customers regarding our product and services but we are also reinforcing our commitment to be open and transparent,” said Travelodge’s CEO Grant Hearn.
“By integrating the Review Collection Solution we are making it easier for our clients to have their say, and to communicate with other travellers, as part of our commitment to providing the best possible hospitality experience, from booking to check out,” he added.
