TripAdvisor has launched two new sites for users in Hong Kong.
The tripadvisor.com.hk site is available in traditional Chinese while en.tripadvisor.com.hk is in English, and both sites feature the new ‘Instant Booking’ feature, enabling users to make hotel bookings within the site. Both new sites are available for desktop and mobile.
The traditional Chinese domain features TripAdvisor’s Chinese brand name, ‘Mao Tu Ying’ (貓途鷹).
“We want TripAdvisor to be the most convenient place for travellers in Hong Kong to research their travel, compare prices and then book,” said Aaron Hung, TripAdvisor’s director of partnerships of Asia Pacific.
“Hong Kong residents made over 85 million trips overseas last year, so we’re pleased to offer more localised content that will not only help them better plan their trips but also help them make their bookings instantly.”
TripAdvisor now operates across 48 markets and 28 languages, following the recent launch of the Hong Kong sites and its Arabic domain, ar.tripadvisor.com.
