TripAdvisor has launched a new feature that allows users to compare and book tours and tickets for attractions.
The travel site has incorporated tour inventory and pricing information from Viator, which was acquired by TripAdvisor earlier this year.
As a result, when travellers visit attraction pages on TripAdvisor they will now be presented with up to three tour options, such as small group or private tours, along with descriptions and prices for each. Travellers can then click on and book the tour through Viator.
“The new TripAdvisor tour feature offers a convenient way for travellers to compare popular tours and book the one that’s perfect for their trip,” said Adam Medros, TripAdvisor’s senior vice president of global product.
“Now travellers on TripAdvisor have a much more intuitive way of finding great things to do in cities around the world.”
The tour feature currently covers more than 7,900 attractions worldwide and is available on desktop and mobile versions for all TripAdvisor English-language sites. The company said it plans to expand to more languages in future.
