TripIt from Concur, the world’s highest-rated travel organizing app, announced that travellers can now access vaccination information—including local requirements and vaccination rates—for the places they’re traveling.

Using the TripIt COVID-19 travel guidance feature, which provides travelers with destination- and airline-specific COVID-19 information, travellers can now access:

Vaccination information: Get vaccination rates and requirements, approved vaccines, exemptions for vaccinated travelers, accepted forms of certification, and more for your trip in the TripIt app. TripIt Pro users can search for vaccination information by destination.

Airline-specific COVID-19 travel guidance: Learn about airline-recommended apps to assist with travel and airline-facilitated COVID-19 test availability.

Travel continues to change on a daily basis. and as more countries reopen, many travellers are booking their first international trips in a while. What should they consider when booking?

Jen Moyse, senior director of product at TripIt said: “COVID-19 guidelines are still changing all the time, which is why it is critical that travelers stay on top of local guidelines. The rules for destinations vary considerably, even across county lines — for example, Los Angeles has reimplemented mask mandates, even for vaccinated people. Restrictions and regulations are even more critical for international destinations and can lead to bumps in travel plans if not followed properly.”

US travellers preparing for upcoming trips should research local protocols using the COVID-19 travel guidance feature in TripIt. The CDC, WHO, and local embassies are also good options to verify the latest restrictions and regulations for international trips.

Travellers should also keep print and digital copies of vaccine cards, and negative test results if they’re required (and be sure to know which types are accepted for the various portions of your trip). These documents act like a passport for certain journeys.

“We developed the COVID-19 travel guidance feature to minimize stress for travellers and curtail the unexpected by keeping them as prepared and informed as possible on everything they’ll need, whether that’s packing a mask or meeting health documentation and vaccine requirements,” Moyse added.
