TUI is adding multiple new destinations and frequencies from 13 UK airports for next year in its biggest summer programme. The move follows the operator announcing two million extra seats from the UK after the collapse of Thomas Cook.

The bulk of the growth is at Manchester airport where 440,000 seats have been added. TUI’s biggest flying programme from the north-west hub  – former base of Thomas Cook Airlines – includes more long-haul coverage.

Addition flying days are planned to Orlando Sanford, Cancun and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Twenty more flying days have been scheduled across 16 existing destinations including Lanzarote, Izmir and Malaga.

Frequency is also being raised from Manchester to Antalya, Dalaman, Corfu, Menorca, Enfidha, Palma and Tenerife. An additional 266,000 seats will be offered from Bristol airport with new destinations including Girona and Almeria in Spain.

Karen Switzer, aviation planning director of UK and Ireland at TUI said: “Earlier this month, we had announced an additional two million seats to many holiday destinations and now the majority of these seats go on sale for summer 2020. Our new additions provide holidaymakers departing from our regional airports with even more choices.”
