TUI UK & Ireland and JustGo have mutually agreed to end their franchise agreement later this year.
The deal will finish on 30 September as part of TUI’s move away from the franchise model.
JustGo currently has 14 shops and is now rethinking its future operating model for October onwards.
“We have worked closely and successfully with JustGo for eight years, with both parties benefiting from the partnership. However, looking to the future, a franchise operation such as this does not meet our long term distribution strategy of controlling more of our distribution through our own routes to market,” said Kathryn Ward, director of retail of TUI UK & Ireland.
“We will continue to work closely with JustGo through their period of transition and, going forward, we hope to continue our strong commercial agreements, as well as maintain our already solid relationship. We would like to thank JustGo for their support as a very valuable franchise partner and wish them luck as they move forward with their business,” she added.
Don Bircham, managing director of JustGo, comments: “It has been a pleasure and privilege to work with one of the most respected names in travel during our franchise agreement. My thanks to the retail team at TUI UK & Ireland for all their support over the past eight years and for their commitment to a strong commercial relationship moving forward. We have a highly productive and profitable retail business and look forward to forging new partnerships in the next phase of our expansion and development.”
