Turkish Airlines hosted a workshop for the travel trade in Birmingham last week, allowing the city’s agents to sample a “Taste of Turkey”.
The event took place at the Novotel Birmingham Centre on Wednesday 29 March, in corporation with the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) and Birmingham International Airport.
It attracted more than 130 guests from the local travel trade industry, who were able to meet with airline representatives and Turkish tourism operators.
Tugba Ozsoy, Turkish Airlines’ operations manager for Birmingham, and Selim Ozturk, general manager for Birmingham, hosted the event, and there was also a special appearance by Aytug Goksu, Commercial Councellor at the Turkish Embassy in London
Last year, Turkish Airlines increased the frequency of its flights between Birmingham and Istanbul from 12 per week to twice a day.
