Turkish Airlines rolls out ‘Winter in Turkey’ campaign

Turkish Airlines recently rolled out its diverse cultural wonders and winter activities with its ‘Winter in Turkey’ campaign. The campaign offers tourists competitive prices and promotions.
The campaign was launched based on growing popularity of the destination. As per statistics, number of tourists travelling to Turkey from the GCC region have increased in the last few years, with a growth of over 370% from UAE and almost 600% from Qatar comparing August 2011 to August 2012 figures, all contributing to over 31 million foreign tourists to the country in 2012.
Turkish Airlines President and CEO, Temel Kotil, Ph D said: “We are delighted with the growing popularity of Turkey as a preferred tourism destination for visitors from around the world, including the GCC region. The country offers access to winter sports for almost half the year, we are confident passenger number will increase with launch of our new campaign.”
The campaign is on until March, highlights the country’s over 20 skiing destinations, as well as cultural experiences in Istanbul and historical cities.
