Onyx Hospitality Group has started a major renovation at two of its Thai properties – Amari Coral Beach Phuket and Amari Watergate Bangkok.
Scheduled to be completed in 2013, work at the Phuket beachfront resort will include the creation of an entirely new hotel facade, revamped deluxe rooms, the creation of an air-conditioned outdoor dining area at its main restaurant, Rim Talay, and a complete refurbishment of two other F&B outlets – La Gritta and The Jetty. The resort’s spa will also to be upgraded.
At the Amari Watergate Bangkok, work will include a full renovation of all executive rooms and suites and a comprehensive redesign of its eighth floor pool area. The fitness centre will be refitted with modern equipment, and the hotel spa will be revamped, while work will also extend to the Cascade terrace bar and lobby. The hotel is expected to be completely renovated by 2016.
