Absolute Hotel Services (AHS) has revealed that a new U Hotel will open its doors close to Thailand’s UNESCO-listed Khao Yai National Park this year.
Scheduled to welcome its first guests in November 2016, the new U Khao Kai will be located in the foothills of Khao Yai, which literally means “Big Mountain”, just two hours’ drive from Bangkok.
Designed in the style of a French country estate, the resort will feature 63 rooms and suites, the Papillon restaurant and a lobby lounge. It will also offer extensive space for events, with two meeting rooms, outdoor function space and a ballroom.
As per U Hotels’ brand concept, all guests will be offered free Wi-Fi and breakfast, which can be served “whenever, wherever” around the resort.
U Khao Yai will become AHS’ seventh U Hotel in Thailand, joining existing properties in Bangkok (Sathorn and Sukhumvit), Chiang Mai, Kanchanaburi, Pattaya and Phuket. And a second Chiang Mai hotel, U Nimman, is due to open in the coming months.
The upscale brand is also present in India, Indonesia, Vietnam and Laos.
