More British holidaymakers are travelling to the Australian region of Queensland.

New figures show an 11% increase in UK holidaymakers heading to the area in 2013 totalling 215,000 Brits.

We are also staying longer and spending more, with expenditure up 18% year-on-year.

Holiday arrivals make up 60% of all UK arrivals to Queensland compared to the 42% national average, with the UK also seeing a higher than average growth rate compared to the 2% boost seen for all international tourists.
