UK Holiday Group, Hays take on Bowen bookings

Bonded Coach Holidays (BCH) and the UK Holiday Group have negotiated with Deloitte to help customers affected by Bowen Travel Group’s collapse earlier this year.
Most of Bowen’s group bookings are to go ahead under UK Holiday Group, under the Grand UK Holidays and just for groups! brands, while individual bookings for coach-based package holidays booked before 25 October 2012 are covered by Bonded Coach Holidays.
Hays Travel is honouring bookings taken by Bowen as a travel agent after 1 January 2012 with many holidays expected to ahead as usual. Day trips are not protected by BCH or ABTA but can be claimed if paid by credit or VISA debit card.
“We are delighted to be able to stand in to rescue the holiday plans of so many people, and we acknowledge the efforts made by the team at Deloitte and BCH in making it possible,” said Paul Bennett, managing director of The UK Holiday Group.
In addition UK Holiday Group’s just for groups! has recruited two sales staff who previously worked for Bowen.
