VietJet Air has launched flights connecting Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) with Hue.

Vietnam’s former Royal capital, Hue becomes the low-cost carrier’s second new destination this month, following the launch of flights to Vinh on 15 November. The latest new route will be operated daily using an Airbus A320.

“We are delighted to connect Vietnam’s largest city with one of the most attractive tourism destinations in the country. This is further testament to our firm commitment to aiding the development of tourism and trade in said Pritam Singh, Deputy Director of VietJetAir.

“Hue is one of the most precious and fascinating destinations in Southeast Asia. We are certain both domestic and foreign tourists will take advantage of our high quality and highly affordable flights to visit Hue and surrounding localities. The route will also further facilitate business ties between the two hubs.”

VietJet’s domestic expansion will continue in December with the launch of Hanoi-Dalat (7 December) and HCMC-Phu Quoc (20 December) flights, taking VieJet’s total domestic network to nine routes connecting seven Vietnamese destinations. The airline is also planning to launch its first international flights, between HCMC and Bangkok, early next year.
