VietJet expands fleet, adds Bangkok flights

Vietnamese low-cost carrier VietJet Air has added two more aircraft to its fleet and launched a new international route connecting Bangkok with Hanoi.
The two brand new Airbus A320 aircraft touched town in Vietnam this week, both equipped with 180 seats in a single-cabin configuration. VietJet said the new aircraft would enable it to schedule 1,600 flights over the summer period, expanding both its domestic and international networks.
And this expansion process has already started, with the launch of flights between Hanoi and Bangkok. The new route, which got underway this week, will operate daily, departing Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport at 1050 and arriving at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport at 1240. The return service leaves the Thai capital at 1325, arriving back into Hanoi at 1525.
“VietJet Air will continue to add more new aircraft as we expand our services to meet the growing demand of our valued customers and travellers in Vietnam and Thailand,” said Desmond Lin, the airline’s Business Development Director.
Following the delivery of the new A320s, VietJet is now planning to launch more international routes to destinations in Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan.
