Vietnam Airlines‘ first Airbus A350 aircraft has rolled out of the factory sporting an updated livery.
The new long-haul aircraft features the classic Vietnam Airlines blue and gold colour scheme, but with a new white and gold stripes in the underside of the fuselage. The tailfin also features a new oversized ‘lotus’ emblem.
Vietnam Airlines will become the first Asia Pacific-based airline to fly the A350, and only the second operator in the world after Qatar Airways. It has agreed to acquire 14 A350s, including 10 owned and four leased aircraft.
It will use the A350s, along with its new Boeing 787 Dreamliners, on its long-haul routes, starting with Hanoi–Paris.
