Central Coast Vietnam Destination Marketing Organization (CCVDMO), the tourism marketing cooperative, has unveiled a new website to promote the region to tourists.

“While the area is renowned for its pristine beaches, natural attractions and national relics, the new CCVDMO website also draws attention to central Vietnam’s lesser known charms and activities, from visits to local ethnic communities to ecotourism projects and gastronomic delights,” the organisation said in a statement.
The site is split into several sections highlight the area’s activities, UNESCO World Heritage sites, arts, culture, dining, accommodation, golf, spa and shopping. It also contains information about flights, transportation and visas.
Vietnam recently started offering 15 days of visa-free travel to travellers from Japan, South Korea and several European countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain and the UK. Citizens of ASEAN member countries offered 30 days of visa-free travel.
Danang International Airport has also recently welcomed new flights from Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul and Busan, and CCVDMO said that direct flights from Bangkok are in the pipeline. Danang airport handled a total of 4.6 million passengers in 2015, 1.2m of which were international.
The CCVDMO website is currently available in English, but will soon be translated into Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese. The organisation is also intending to add a ‘plan your trip’ option in future.
